Sashmark

What Sashmark is built to do

Sashmark is a Markdown reader and editor for the files your AI agents write. Everything below is in development and planned for v1.

Sashmark is in development. Nothing has been released yet, and there is no public build. See the roadmap for where each part stands.

Read

Rendered Markdown In development
Standard Markdown plus tables, task lists, code blocks, local images and wikilinks.
Front matter table In development
The YAML header at the top of a file shown as a small table of keys and values.
Light and dark themes In development
Theme choice, zoom and coloured task check boxes.

Follow your agent

Live reload In development
When an agent changes the file, the page updates and keeps your reading position.
Changes view In development
Shows what changed since you last looked, with seen snapshots and mark as seen.
Conflict handling In development
If the file changes under unsaved edits, different lines merge and you choose per block when both sides touched the same one.

Edit and save

Edit in place In development
Tick check boxes, nest lists, edit table cells and the raw front matter on the rendered page.
Explicit save In development
A save changes only the lines you edited, so agent and git diffs stay small.
Document lock In development
Editing turns off when a clean save is not possible, so a file is never rewritten by surprise.

Get around

Tabs In development
One tab per file, restored after a restart, with recent files and reopen closed tab.
The sashmark command In development
Open a file from the terminal on macOS, Windows and Linux. The app also accepts skimmark as an alias.
Command palette In development
Open, close a tab, reveal a file or copy its path from the keyboard.

Planned pricing is on license plans. Questions go through the contact form.
